ATA Webinars – Continuing Education from Your Home Office
Did you ever dread having to dress up to attend a conference, workshop or other educational event for freelancers? You can now save the hassle and the commute by attending some of the new webinars ATA offers online, and no dress code required, only a computer and broadband internet. Just go to www.atanet.org and look for ATA Webinar Series.
So far two webinars have been conducted, one on September 23 (The Entrepreneurial Linguist: Lessons from Business Schools), and the other one on October 5 (How to Get the Most Out of Your ATA Membership). Both webinars were sold out ahead of time, with the one about ATA being free of charge. Two more webinars are scheduled for 2010: On November 9 (Getting Started as a Freelance Translator) and on December 8 (Tax Tips for Translators). You may want to pay special attention to Tax Tips for Translators since this webinar will be presented by MICATA’s very own John Matthews! So make sure you sign up soon to reserve a spot. Certified ATA members will receive 1 CE point per webinar. |
